Mina, Gomes: Everton sign Barça pair, plus Shakhtar's Bernard

The Brazilian signed from Watford in a mega deal earlier this summer.

Jordan Pickford stays put at Everton - The English backstop saved the Toffees' proverbial bacon on many occasions last season, and was a massive part of England's World Cup run.

The Colombian centre-back had been linked to Manchester United and Lyon as well as the Toffees this summer.

Gomes arrived on a season-long loan deal from the Spanish giants, while Mina agreed a permanent deal worth £27.2m (€30.25m) rising to £28.5m (€31.75m). "I believe I will be able to show my best as a player here". His form for them was so good he has been awarded 13 caps for Brazil, although he was not part of their squad that went to the World Cup in Russian Federation this summer.

Everton's new manager wanted two central defenders before the deadline and was hoping to get his wish with a second loan signing, that of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea.

Bernard has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with Everton, and was given visa clearance on the final day of the window to feature for his new club.

Mina has signed on a permanent five-year deal worth €30million (approx £27.2million), while Portugal worldwide Gomes has arrived at Goodison on a one-season loan.

"I worked hard during my holiday and now I am ready to play and do important things with the Club". I am ready to train and work.

But Bernard instead opted to link up with Marco Silva at Goodison Park.

Everton and Fulham stole the show on the Premier League's transfer deadline day, as both clubs welcomed several eye-catching signings.
