Rain showers and storms on the way to West Michigan

As many kids head back to school this week it is still going to feel very much like summer with hot and humid conditions expected for most of the upcoming week.

Not much around early this evening on 4Live Radar, but once the sun goes down, our rain chances go up. Temperatures will once again be above average working into the lower 90s feeling like the upper 90s. Lows dip into the upper 70s.

FRIDAY | Partly cloudy with isolated storm chances later in the day.

Today: Partly Cloudy, Scattered Showers/Storms (30%). Highs will still be in the mid-90s. We are on the low end of the spectrum of severe weather for this system all moving ahead of a cold front, but still need to give caution to the possible strong storms.

Continuing through the work week, humidity and rain chances will continue to rise. There will be at least a chance of thunderstorms each day. Afternoon heat index values will climb to near 100.

A front may move into the area by the weekend. After some areas of morning fog, some heat and humidity return for Wednesday with highs in the mid-80s.

After a stretch where we couldn't buy a drop of rain, we can't rule it out in any of the next seven days.
