Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders Join Spider-Man: Far From Home Cast

He'd been cast in Marvel Studios' upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, and in a random Instagram post, he used hashtags that included the names of Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson, which seemed to hint at the duo's involvement in the movie...but it was far from a confirmation.

Jackson is ready to swing with Spidey. Nick Fury back in Iron Man in 2008 and Smulders first appearing in 2012's MCU crossover The Avengers as Maria Hill, Fury's right-hand woman. The character will be played by Oscar victor Brie Larson in future Marvel films, and has been rumoured to be the one who will take over as the leader of the Avengers post Phase IV. The film is also the Marvel debut of Jake Gyllenhaal, who will play the big bad villain, Mysterio in the film. The actor has been spotted in London recently though, adding more fuel to the reports. Undoubtedly, Peter Parker will be all too eager to be involved in their spy world, so cue plenty of pop culture references to James Bond and Jason Bourne.
