Trump expects to revoke Ohr's security clearance

Asked about Ohr's security clearance, Trump said: "I suspect I'll be taking it away very quickly".

Most recently, Ohr has come under scrutiny for his alleged dealings with the author of the anti-Trump dossier and potentially secret meetings with Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller departs after briefing members of the U.S. Senate on his investigation into potential collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, U.S., June 21, 2017.

The firm hired former British spy Christopher Steele to assemble the dossier during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The president commented on the issue as he left the White House to travel to Bedminster, New Jersey.

In revoking Brennan's clearance, Trump on Wednesday accused the former Central Intelligence Agency director, one of his most outspoken critics, of making "a series of unfounded and outrageous allegations - wild outbursts on the internet and television - about this Administration".

President Trump's decision to strip the former Central Intelligence Agency director of his security clearance could spell trouble for another career official at the Department of Justice.

In a statement, ex-CIA bosses appointed by Republican and Democratic presidents - including Robert Gates, George Tenet, Porter Goss, Leon Panetta and David Petraeus - denounced Trump's decision to strip Brennan of his security clearance.

McRaven was critical of Trump, saying he's "embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation". Very, very important. And I've had a tremendous response for having done that.

In the op-ed, McRaven, who retired from the Navy in 2014, described Brennan as "a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don't know him".

McRaven tells Trump that he would consider it an honor if the president would revoke his security clearance as well so he can add his name to the list of individuals who have spoken out against Trump's presidency.

Trump's actions have been widely condemned, including by respected former admiral William McRaven, the commander of the US Navy SEAL raid that killed Osama bin Laden.

In August 2016, just two days after Brennan briefed Senator Harry Reid and other members on Russian interference in the election, the Nevada senator wrote a letter to then-FBI director James Comey, calling the FBI to investigate Trump's campaign.

Others who have earned their security clearance are also speaking out against the move.

"If, however, Director Brennan's statement is purely political and based on conjecture, the president has full authority to revoke his security clearance as head of the Executive Branch".

"I think the whole Manafort trial is very sad". They should be looking at the other side.
