Brickyard 400 postponed to Monday

The Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard Indianapolis Motor Speedway was postponed Sunday due to inclement weather. Practice runs and qualifying were canceled because of the rain while the NASCAR Xfinity Series race was also moved to Monday. Indianapolis has been drenched in three days of rain and NASCAR has not been able to get any cars on track before Sunday's scheduled race. It's expected to start at 10 a.m. This may sound a little insane but maybe the teams should get a 30-minute practice session before each race?

When the Brickyard 400 does end up getting underway, Joe Gibbs Racing's Kyle Busch is set to start from the pole position in his #18 Toyota alongside Stewart-Haas Racing's Kevin Harvick in second place in his #4. The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race is now scheduled for 2 p.m. ET with coverage on NBCSN.

With the starting lineups for both races ordered according to owner points because of qualifying rainouts, Blaney will lead the field to green in the Lilly Diabetes 250.

In the NASCAR Cup Series, the race serves as the final event before the playoffs start September 16 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Our original post follows, but with updated information on the Monday TV and live stream times.
