HMD Global has revealed the price of the Nokia 5.1 Plus as Rs 10,999 for the Indian market. It comes with a 2.5D curved glass back body with glossy finish frame.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus is yet another notched display phone that appears like a lower version of the Nokia 6.1 Plus (Nokia X6). Like its sibling Nokia 6.1 Plus, the new smartphone will be exclusively available via Flipkart and Nokia online store in India. The Nokia 5.1 Plus is priced very aggressively at Rs 10,999.

For the asking price, the Nokia 5.1 Plus offers a lot.

The device is powered by a Mediatek Helio P60 chip and comes equipped with either 3GB or 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage fuelled by a 3,060mAh battery. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 400GB.

Talking about the performance of the phone, Ajey Mehta, Vice-President and Country Head of HMD Global India said "with Nokia 5.1 Plus we wanted to bring a phone that was high on performance that could get exciting gaming and entertainment experiences closer to a wider group of fans".

In terms of optics, the Nokia 5.1 Plus sports 13MP + 5MP dual rear cameras with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. There is a dual camera setup at the back which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor (f/2.0 aperture) and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies and video calling, the handset sports an 8-megapixel snapper. Notably, HMD Global will also be selling the smartphone via Nokia Mobile Shop as well. As part of the launch offer, Airtel customers can avail instant cashback of Rs 1,800 on the handset, and 240GB data benefits over 12 months on the Airtel's plans of Rs 199, Rs 249 and Rs 448. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C port.

Lastly, the Nokia 5.1 Plus can be purchased in three shades of Gloss Black, and Gloss Midnight Blue.
