Philly Special sparks Philadelphia Eagles' offense vs. Atlanta Falcons

These two teams met in the NFC Divisional Round past year, with the Eagles obviously reigning supreme over the Dirty Birds of Atlanta.

Ajayi scored on runs of 1 and 11 yards and the Eagles even came up with a version of the Philly Special.

With his offense struggling, Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson dusted off a variation of the most iconic play call in franchise history.

Quarterback Nick Foles will start for the Eagles in place of Carson Wentz, who tore his ACL last December. This one, known as "Philly Philly", provided the spark he was looking for in an 18-12 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The drive ended with Jay Ajayi crossing the goal line for the first touchdown of the National Football League season.

The Eagles went on to win the Super Bowl and the Falcons will now have to step into Philly and find a way to win in a tough environment.

After the game, Pederson shared name the name of the play that is sure to sit well with Eagles fans. Truly an ambassador to the state, McCarthy sent along cheese and crackers as a token of congratulations for taking down the New England Patriots.

"That's where we got it from", Pederson said when asked about the resemblance to the failed Patriots play in the Super Bowl.

Nick Foles is the only quarterback to throw and catch a touchdown in Super Bowl history.
