Unai Emery demands 'personality' from Arsenal players - Premier League 2018

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has once again stressed that Mesut Ozil needs to start contributing more to the team, and he is not the only player who needs to step up.

Arsenal were without a number of key players for the 3-2 victory over Cardiff City two weeks ago and now, the club has provided an update on the fitness situation.

Arsenal will look to make it three wins in a row when they take on Newcastle United at St James' Park on Saturday afternoon. Here for me it isn't for a lot of the time speaking about what people are telling us.

Firstly we need to win and I think it is very important that in the last match we won.

Ozil's retirement from worldwide football came after he made claims of racism from the German football association.

All players have returned from global duty with their national teams in good health and are available for selection.

Emery admitted Ozil's first global break since his retirement will have been a hard adjustment for the player, but that the pair have been able to spend beneficial time on the training ground together.

Emery confirmed Arsenal are keen to extend Nacho Monreal's stay at the Emirates Stadium.

"In his career, he played like a No. 10 and on the right coming in with his quality", Emery said. I look at him with the focus totally here. He is very convinced about that in my conversations with him about it. However, I think we'll see him keep his place at the heart of midfield this weekend.
