A New Version of The Legend of Zelda Just Launched on Switch

The Legend of Zelda - Living the life of luxury! is now available to play. You'll also get a ton of rupees to buy extra items on your way to Ganon.

Last week, we reported the news that Nintendo would be expanding its Switch Online library with a trio of great NES games for subscribers of the service to enjoy. Once you beat the game, you'll also gain access to a harder version of the game called Second Quest, according to the description.

This isn't just any ol' version of The Legend of Zelda, though.

Back when the upcoming list of games was revealed for Switch Online's Nintendo Entertainment System catalogue, Nintendo of Europe alluded too some mysterious "SP" versions of classic games.

Fans all across the country have signed up for Nintendo Switch Online to enjoy what the paid service has to offer, including online play in popular multiplayer games; Save Data Cloud backup; a smartphone app for voice chat and other features for supported games; exclusive special offers; and the ability to experience classic NES™ games with added online play.

Yes, as promised, Solomon's Key, NES Open Tournament Golf and Super Dodge Ball have all arrived, bumping the standard roster of NES games up to 23 in total, but this new Zelda option takes that total up another notch. In November, the app will gain Metroid, Mighty Bomb Jack and TwinBee, while December will see the release of Adventures of Lolo, Ninja Gaiden and Wario's Woods.
