Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson reportedly call it quits

The romance between "Sweetener" singer Ariana Grande and "SNL" performer Pete Davidson has turned sour.

Sources close to the couple told TMZ that the decision to split was a mutual choice, and that they both felt the timing wasn't right. We're told the two still have love for each other, but things are over romantically.

A few days ago, people noticed Davidson covering up his bunny ears tattoo he has on his neck, for Ariana Grande. Grande's team told People that the singer needed time to "heal and mend" following the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller. The ring reportedly cost $100,000.

However, Grande expressed via social media that she was having a hard time recently while she called off several appearances too. Braun reportedly arranged for comedian Trevor Noah to perform in her place.

Others were sympathetic of Ariana's traumatic losses over the previous year and a half, which includes the recent death of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller. Their break up may have been on the horizon for a little while, as Pete was seen recently having covered up his Ariana bunny tatto.

"I took some time off bc i was real sad", Grande tweeted last week when asked about when she would be filming a new music video. According to TMZ, the pair chose to separate over the weekend.

A source gave more details to People magazine saying, "It was way too much too soon".

Representatives have yet to comment on the claims, but the news emerges hours after Ariana pulled out of a scheduled performance at the F. Cancer benefit gala in Los Angeles on Saturday. Follow Yahoo Lifestyle on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
