Jose Mourinho Pulled Away From Melee Following Late Chelsea Equaliser

Jose Mourinho taunts Chelsea fans after his Manchester United team got a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Ross Barkley's late equaliser made it a fair result, but a gutting one for United.

It was then, as the clock ticked down, that Mourinho's body language became animated and his emotions bubbled to the surface, concluding in that chaotic confrontation by the tunnel entrance as he felt Chelsea technical staff member Ianni overdid the celebrations of Barkley's late leveller.

Mourinho, who accused Chelsea's fans of disrespecting him, also attempted to draw a line under the matter despite saying that Ianni's actions were down to a "bad education".

"No, I am not happy, honestly", Mourinho said when asked about what he described as the "manhunting" against him in the wake of the Newcastle match.

I think it's fair to say that the football world had quite the mixed reaction to the game... What happened was with Sarri's assistant, Sarri was the first one to come to me and say he will resolve it. I have made a lot of mistakes in my career.

This was, in the second half at least, much more like it from United, as Anthony Martial proved his quality, Juan Mata pulled the strings and Paul Pogba strived to make amends for his awful switch-off at Willian's corner that allowed Antonio Rudiger a free header for Chelsea's first goal.

Sarri's Chelsea host Mourinho and United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday aiming to maintain an unbeaten start to the Premier League season that means they sit behind leaders Manchester City only on goal difference.

They evidently also irritated Sarri who was at pains to apologise to Mourinho himself.

"[We were] the best team on the pitch", he told Sky Sports.

MAURIZIO SARRI, Chelsea manager, admitting that his side were at fault for provoking Mourinho.

For Wolfsburg, USMNT center back John Brooks won tackles and completed 48 of his 53 passes, while Wout Weghorst scored its lone goal. "It's completely different than Conte or Mourinho before", said the Belgian, who has eight goals already this season. But I have that situation immediately.

However, Sarri thinks whether United play an attractive brand of football is irrelevant, considering the success he has enjoyed through the years. "We didn't sleep in the hotel, everyone stayed at his own house, and I think the players when they woke up - because they read on social media - the pre-match was not easy for them".

"Some of the players looked depressed in the first half with the result, and with the pre-match, because the pre-match was hard for them", Mourinho said.

United started the match at Chelsea down in eighth in the Premier League, seven points behind their opponents.
