Oli Herbert dead: All That Remains guitarist dies aged 44

The news of Herbert's death was announced on social media on the USA group's Instagram account.

"We were devastated to learnt that Oli Herbert, our friend, guilt player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away", the band told their 82,000 Instagram followers. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely.

While the cause of death was not revealed, Oli's widow Beth revealed on the his fan Facebook page the family would explain what happened when they had 'a complete picture'.

Penley says: "On behalf of Oli's wife and family, I can confirm that Oli Herbert passed away yesterday unexpectedly as a result of an accident which occurred on the property of his home".

Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta said: "Rest In Peace Oli". You were and are still a guitar legend! I'll never forget he rode the Harry Potter rides with me when everyone else wouldn't!

Another message read: "Such a talented dude". The world will be less bright without him, not even mentioning his musical talent'.

All That Remains is mourning the loss of their founding band member and guitarist, Oli Herbert.

He last wrote on social media three days ago, reposting an Instagram post from All That Remains promoting Spotify's Kickass Metal playlist. Herbert played on all eight All That Remains studio albums, as well as their forthcoming ninth and new record, Victim of the New Disease, which is scheduled for release on November 9th.
