Passengers intervene after man attacks woman on plane in vile racist rant

In video of the incident, the man unleashes a torrent of racist abuse as other passengers look on in horror.

Customers of Ryanair are not happy with how the airline handled a racist passenger on a flight from Barcelona to Standsted.

According to a report from BBC News, the incident occurred on Friday during a flight from Barcelona to Stansted on Ryanair.

The clip shows the daughter of the elderly woman engaged in an argument with the man, who then starts verbally attacking the 77-year-old.

Lawrence, the passenger who captured the video, and many angry viewers including several MPs, are criticizing Ryanair for failing to protect their passenger by stopping the torrent of abuse sooner.

The daughter of the woman who was targeted said she believed if a black person had behaved in the same way they would have been thrown off the flight immediately.

After a flight attendant intervenes and tries to calm the man down, the woman asks to be seated next to her daughter and moves to another seat.

She said that the man turned on her mother because she had arthritis, meaning it took her some time to move out of the way so he could reach his seat.

She said she took her mum, who migrated to the United Kingdom from Jamaica in the 1960s, on holiday to mark the anniversary of her mother's husband's death.

Other politicians are also calling for action from Ryanair, including shadow minister Karl Turner. "As for me, I'm upset about the whole thing too-the fact that the passenger wasn't taken off the plane and how the situation was dealt with".
