Walsh says he is not the person he's being portrayed as

Strictly Come Dancing bosses were locked in a series of crisis talks about Sean Walsh and Katya Jones' future on the show, after they shared a drunken kiss last Wednesday.

Stand-up comedian Walsh was dumped on Twitter by his long-term partner Rebecca Humphries after pictures emerged of him kissing with professional dancer Jones.

Jones, 29, is married to fellow Strictly dancer Neil Jones and in the aftermath of the pictures being published she said they were "very happy" and that the incident was not a reflection on their relationship.

While a third fan she favourited commented: 'And STILL Sean (n) didn't publicly apologise to @Beckshumps!

She revealed that the images were taken on her birthday on 3 October as she sat at home alone. I have received nothing, other than the support of my family, friends and a host of strangers on the internet who all wanted to make sure I was OK.

Seann was up first and said, "Obviously I'm sorry for the hurt that I've caused, we were getting on well, we were having fun, we had a couple of drinks and I regret it deeply".

"I wasn't thinking and it was a one-off mistake after some drinks".

"As he had done countless times throughout our relationship when I've questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour." she said.

In her Twitter statement announcing she was leaving him, she said he "aggressively, and repeatedly, called me a psycho/nuts/mental" when she had previously voiced suspicions.

"I feel it's also important for me to say that the people that know me the most, that love me, they know that I am not the person I am being portrayed as", he insisted. It's more than lying.

Seann Walsh (L) and Rebecca Humphries attend a special screening of The Donmar Warehouse production of "The Vote" at the Ham Yard Hotel, generously supported by Chapel Down, on May 7, 2015 in London, England. "It's controlling. Tell some very close friends who, if they're anything like my wonderful network, will swoop in and take care of the logistics and of you".

'It's important also to recognise that in these situations those who hold power over you are insecure and fragile and the need for control comes from a place of vulnerability.

Katya, meanwhile, spoke out about her husband Neil, saying: "I apologise to everyone it hurt and it involved". Despite everything, I hope he gets what he wants from this. I'm not sorry I took the cat though'.

Walsh and Jones are set to appear on this Saturday's edition of the show despite the furore over the images.
