White Confirms Khabib Won’t Be Stripped Of Title Following 229 Brawl

Nurmagomedov defended his lightweight crown in completely dominant fashion in Las Vegas over the weekend, taking McGregor to the ground in the first two rounds before forcing him to tap in the fourth.

Khabib's father Abdulmanap says the punishment from Commission and UFC would be pale comparisons to what he'll do to his son.

The UFC lightweight champion took to to Instagram on Tuesday to poke fun at UFC president Dana White over what repercussions White would have faced had he stripped Nurmagomedov of his belt after Saturday's post-fight brawl.

Nurmagomedov is now facing sanctions from the Nevada State Athletic Commission and likely the UFC.

Remember, Danis was the guy Khabib jumped out of the Octagon and attacked after the fight.

Nurmagomedov was hustled out, surrounded by security officers, as a pro-McGregor crowd jeered and threw drinks at him.

"For me, discipline comes first".

White, speaking to TMZ, added: "He absolutely keeps his title".

"He is going to get suspended so maybe you give him four to six months' suspension", said White. You just beat him while the whole world was watching.

White said he thought the NAC should take a $250,000 fine. His $2 million purse was withheld at the conclusion of the event, while McGregor (21-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC) was paid in full.McGregor, however, is also facing potential disciplinary action, likely for fighting with Nurmagomedov's teammates.

You'd think going after White's auto would add more punishment for Nurmagomedov after that, but then again, smashing a motorized vehicle controlled by White has never really led to serious repercussions from the UFC. So that right hand, you know... he was very disappointed he got caught with a shot like that.

Before the showdown, McGregor spits a lot of trash talk said insulting words to Khabib and his father, which enraged "The Eagle" a bit more.
