Prince Charles' fears for Prince Harry and Meghan's baby

"I'm about to have another grandchild, actually".

The 69-year-old royal is now a grandfather to Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children, and is preparing for his youngest son, Prince Harry, to welcome his first child with new wife, Meghan Markle, in the new year.

Speaking in detail about his future role as head of state the prince said: "You know, I've tried to make sure whatever I've done has been non-party political, and I think it's vital to remember there's only room for one sovereign at a time, not two".

But he told the BBC in a documentary marking his 70th birthday next week that he did not intend to be a meddling king. "I don't think people realize quite how kind he is".

And he vows to stop campaigning on the environment, architecture and homeopathy as king, insisting: 'I'm not that stupid'.

"But the idea somehow that I'm going to go on exactly the same way if I have to succeed is complete nonsense because the two. the two situations are completely different. So, of course, you know, I understand entirely how that should operate".

The Nigerian Navy has hosted the Prince of Wales in Lagos on Wednesday in continuation of his three-day business and cultural tour of Nigeria.

"You don't say. But I always wonder what meddling is, I mean I always thought it was motivating".

"I think that was very touching".

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, admitted she couldn't see the exchange between father and son at the altar but later watched it back on TV.

In fact, one royal correspondent claims Charles' kids are "control freaks" about their coverage, and says that Kate and William in particular are known for purposefully not looking at a "fixed point" when having their picture taken-making it hard for photographers to get good images of them.

Prince Harry says his father did not hesitate to step in after the Duchess of Sussex's father pulled out of walking her down the aisle in May.

The second in line to the throne says: "There are so many things I admire about my father - his work ethic, his passions. but personally I want to be my own man and take my own style, my own passions and my own interests my way, and do things slightly differently".

Prince William said "when he's there, he's brilliant" but "we need him there as much as possible".

"As I get older, all I really long for is to plant trees", he explains in the documentary, "Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70".
