Tamera Mowry-Housley's Niece Dies in Thousand Oaks Shooting

Alaina Housley, the 18-year-old niece of Tamera Mowry-Housley and Adam Housley, is sadly among the victims of the mass shooting in Southern California.

The college student explained that a handful of her suite mates had gone to the Borderline Bar & Grill on Wednesday night and some were still missing.

Mowry-Housley, one of the hosts of CBS talk show The Real and former star of the 90's sitcom Sister, Sister, reached out to the suite-mate on Twitter asking for the latest update on her niece's location. "Can you please DM me your information?" she wrote. The exchange is pretty heartbreaking.

Tamera Mowry-Housley and husband Adam Housley have confirmed their niece was killed in the shooting.

Ventura County Sheriff's Sergeant Ron Heuls was one of the first responders and was met by gunfire.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Housley family during this hard time and hope that Alaina is found safe.

They called Alaina Housely "an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her".

According to the Los Angeles Times Housley tried to look for his niece at around 3:30 am but was turned away because the hospital was on lockdown.

"This is my firstborn son", Coffman's father, Jason, told an NBC reporter as he waited frantically for news Thursday morning.

Housley later asked for prayers on social media and said he was "staying positive and wishing there was more I could do".

Housley was last seen wearing denim shorts, "a blue flannel" and sneakers, the suitemate tweeted.

She continued, "Housley said two of Alaina's suite mates jumped through a broken window to escape and are at a hospital with major glass wounds".

"But they kept running toward houses near Los Robles Greens golf course, where they got help from residents", she added.

"My gut is saying she's inside the bar, dead".

We're hoping and praying that Tamera and Adam's niece is found safe.
