Free Cheesecake Today From The Cheesecake Factory

Arlington County police say they received calls Wednesday about traffic disruptions as a Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Clarendon was participating in a national giveaway of 40,000 cheesecake slices in conjunction with a food delivery service.

"In celebration of our 40th anniversary, on December 5th only starting at 11:30AM local time, we're giving away 40,000 FREE slices* of cheesecake!"

That suspect is expected to be charged with disorderly conduct. Well, if you can't resist The Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes, the app will continue to offer no delivery fees for the restaurant for the rest of the week.

To take advantage of the deal, the company says customers just have to place a delivery order through the app DoorDash, and use code FREESLICE at checkout.

While at the scene, authorities were called to the restaurant for a reported fight.

Police remained at the Cheesecake Factory to monitor the crowds.

A police spokesperson told local media that one person was even arrested after his refusal to follow police orders to leave the restaurant led to a scuffle with the officers.
