Kedarnath Actor Tarun Gahlot Is All Praises For Sara Ali Khan!

On the backdrop of the Kedarnath pilgrimage, the film reportedly portrays a Hindu woman played by Sara Ali Khan falling for a Muslim guide essayed by Sushant Rajput whereas the pony walas in Uttarakhand are Nepali Hindus and not Muslims. There has been much hype around the film as it is Sara's debut, and the starlet has quite an astounding fan-following, even before her debut film had released. Moreover the reception is better as well which means ultimately this Abhishek Kapoor directed affair could sail through.

He said the holy place holds great importance for all Hindus and the reviews came out as the people found it objectionable.

The screening of Kedarnath has been banned as a precautionary measure to avoid "disruption of peace".

The Uttarakhand High Court on Thursday refused to ban the film and asked the petitioners to approach the District Magistrate with their complaints. In the meeting, it was decided that the state government would not ban the movie and instead leave the decision to district administrations.

Of the hilly state's 13 districts, only seven have movie theatres and Kedarnath has been banned in all of them. The court told Bharti to raise its objections with Maharaj's committee. BJP functionaries said the film "encouraged love jihad" and "hurt Hindu sentiments".

While there has been no official ban on the film by the state government, it has written to all district magistrates (DMs) about the film and the controversies surrounding it.

After the release of Kedarnath, the movie has got itself in a lot of trouble as the film is about a love story of a Hindu girl and a Muslim boy. "The state shall ensure law and order is maintained".
