Love Island winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham break-up

Love Island winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham have split.

The daughter of actor Danny Dyer took to Instagram to confirm the news, after reports emerged that the pair had called it quits.

In an Instagram story, Dani announced that after "an incredible six months" the couple, who won the show this year, had "decided to part ways" after realising they weren't destined to be together long-term.

She told her followers the pair planned to stay friends and "will always have a place in our hearts for each other".

Jack previously admitted that their relationship wasn't ideal and that filming their upcoming reality show and living together had made things harder.

"Filming the show wasn't easy". It was tough, it was intense - you're on camera most days of the week all day long.

"They came out to a whirlwind of publicity and after a while, things started to get to them and the cracks appeared", the insider alleged.

The couple were still together when it was filmed.

The aim of the Love Island is to couple up with someone in the villa, then convince the nation you're the strongest couple. Get Me Out of Here! on Thursday - just hours after Dani had announced the split.

Love, Dani xx, ' she added.

Jack and Dani also spent the last few months filming for their reality show spin-off series, Jack and Dani: Life After Love Island - however, it has been confirmed that the ITV2 series will still be broadcast.

Both Love Island UK and Love Island AU will return in 2019.
