Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is a Switch exclusive

The Game Awards have given Marvel fans a pretty big surprise tonight: the announcement of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch in 2019. It won't be developed by the same team, but will instead come under the supervision of Team Ninja, developers of Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, and Nioh. Of course, the X-Men are back too.

Take a look at the trailer below. It's like Super Smash Bros. but with Marvel characters. Team up with friends to prevent galactic devastation at the hands of the mad cosmic tyrant Thanos and his ruthless warmasters, The Black Order. Ultimate Alliance 3 was revealed alongside a new trailer that featured members of the Avengers, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, and the villainous Thanos and his lackeys known as The Black Order. "From Avengers Tower to the X-Mansion and beyond, every stop on the risky quest to thwart Thanos results in unexpected collisions of fan-favorite characters and iconic locations". As in previous franchise entries, up to four players will be able to join on the co-op action either online, offline via wireless linkup or even by passing Joy-Cons around.
