NBA's Kay Felder Arrested for Assault, Allegedly Choked Woman

Kay Felder spent time with multiple teams, including the Bulls, but was released by the Raptors 905 following an arrest for domestic abuse.

The Toronto Raptors' G League affiliate, Raptors 905, has released former National Basketball Association guard Kay Felder after his arrest on domestic violence charges outside Toronto on Monday morning, the team announced.

Felder, 23, the 54th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, was arrested in Mississauga, Ontario, and charged with assault and uttering threats against the unnamed woman during a domestic dispute, the report said.

"We're told the two got into an argument after dinner and Felder allegedly got violent and choked her, leaving nasty marks on her neck", the gossip rag reported. Our sources say the alleged victim was able to call a family member who then called police.

Felder has spent time with several teams over the course of his brief National Basketball Association career, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Chicago Bulls, and the Detroit Pistons.

Felder, a Detroit native, was originally drafted by the Atlanta Hawks but was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers on draft night.

In 11 games this season with Raptors 905, he averaged 18.1 points, 6.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds. After being waived by the Raptors in October, Felder remained with the franchise's G-League team. Raptors 905 have waived Felder, effective immediately.

Felder is the most recent athlete to get in trouble for domestic violence. He's reportedly been released and is due back in court later in December.
