Pete Davidson responds to online bullies

In a new Instagram post, Pete Davidson opened up about the emotional toll of online hate on his mental health.

Fans were quick to question Ariana about the statement, causing the singer to delete the message and clarify: "true love might exist i was just hungry".

Davidson said it was "mind boggling" that he has experienced online bullying and public harassment "in today's climate where everyone loves to be offended and upset".

"I've learned through my own mistakes not to be creative on socials so I do understand, but you truly don't know what anybody is experiencing, ever".

"No matter how hard the internet. tries to make me kill myself, I won't", he wrote in an Instagram post.

His remarks come on the heels of his ex-fiancee Ariana Grande's manager, Scooter Braun, coming to Davidson's defense on social media.

Eagle-eyed fans spotted that the inking Ariana previously had on her foot, which said "8414" in reference to the badge number of Pete's firefighter father who died in the 9/11 attacks, has been replaced.

"Even nearly got married, and for Pete I'm so thankful". You know how insane that is?

In the video she wrote, "Sry I dipped".

"It is working, slowly but surely", he said at the time. "Imagine all the insecurities that you already feel about yourself and having someone write a paragraph pointing out every little thing - even if it's just physical". Aside from Davidson, she also mentions her other ex-boyfriends, including Mac Miller, Alvarez and Big Sean. He went on to praise Grande, saying that she's a strong and wonderful person. Just below her thumb Ariana had "reborn" written in all caps - Pete reportedly got the same tattoo.
