Acer’s Latest Gaming Laptop Has a Really Weird Hinge

Specs-wise, there's nothing to be disappointed about on the Triton 900. While the Predator Triton 900 places emphasis on the combination of performance and the convertible-features, the Acer Predator Triton 500 combines performance with mobility. It comes with ultra-narrow bezels with Corning ® Gorilla ® Glass 6 touch display. With up to a six core high performance 8th Gen Intel Core™ i7 processor, NVMe PCIe RAID 0 SSDs, and up to 32GB DDR4 memory, gamers can power up the most demanding games and expect smooth, tear-free gameplay.

Acer Chromebook 315 features two USB Type-C ports along with WiFi 802.11ac wireless featuring 2x2 MIMO technology, Bluetooth v4.2, two USB 3.0 ports, and the combo headphone and speaker jack as connectivity options. It also comes with a $3999 price tag for the starter configuration.

The two notebooks are both gaming powerhouses though.

The Acer Predator Triton 500 contains a 15.6 inch screen, which by nature qualifies it as a gaming laptop of the more compact sort. This feature enables users to enjoy multiple gaming scenarios and better ergonomics. Acer now has plans for just one model of the Triton 900 that will come equipped with an Intel Core i7-8750H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card.

And here's an interesting value-add: Later this year, Acer will publish a PredatorSense Mobile app that allows remote control of some of the laptop's functions: overclocking, fan speed, lighting profiles and audio. Additionally, users can view and set customized macro key sets for physical hotkeys.

At the same time we checked out the latest version of the ultraportable Acer Swift 7, we also took the opportunity to see Acer's new Predator Triton notebooks, too. It creates custom lighting effects that respond to actions within the game.

Acer has also introduced its first Chromebook that's powered by AMD A-series processors with Radeon graphics. The Predator Triton 900 is easily adjusted to be a tablet or a traditional laptop. The 15.6-inch Full HD 1920 x 1080 display can last up to 10 hours on average usage. It will come at a starting price of $279.99 which roughly converts to around Rs. 19,400.

The Predator Triton 500 is expected to land in North America and Europe in February.
