Belgian expert reveals truth to Yannick Carrasco deal claims

Carrasco left Atletico Madrid in a deal worth £25m past year - but reports suggest the winger is ready to leave Asia and return to one of Europe's top teams.

However, Sky Italia, via the Metro, claim that Carrasco favours a move to Arsenal while The Sun also carry a similar report that suggests the Gunners have already made contact over a deal and the winger has given his "approval" to the proposed move.

But Sky Sport Italia claim (via 101greatgoals) Arsenal have made initial contact with the Belgian global, who has given his "approval" to the move.

"A transfer will be expensive (wages & fee) and is he physically ready to make an immediate impact in the PL?" Today, Yannick Carrasco is linked with Arsenal and Man Utd...

There is interest in Carrasco from AC Milan but his £170,000-a-week wages could make a move away from China hard.

Arsenal are keen to add a winger to their squad this month but have a "limited" budget and a new centre-back is likely to take priority.

Barcelona's Denis Suarez, who worked with Emery at Sevilla, is believed to be closing in on a move and Carrasco could follow quickly.

However, Arsenal will slug it out AC Milan for the 25-year-old's signature.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have bigger issues in defence. The San Siro outfits are in the race to sign the star at the ongoing transfer window.
