'Criminal Minds' Is Ending So Say Farewell To Matthew Gray Gubler's Hair

The final season of Criminal Minds will be an emotional ride for fans of the show.

According to Deadline, CBS, CBS TV Studios and co-producers ABC Studios agreed to extend Criminal Minds for an additional 10 episodes to allow the series a "proper ending" after showrunner Erica Messer deemed extra episodes necessary to prevent Season 14 ending with a series finale or unresolved cliffhangers. Prior to that, series star Thomas Gibson was sacked from the show after an on-set altercation with a producer.

"We have one in the works right now who's a very memorable villain, but I don't want to say too much if it doesn't work out with casting", Messer teased.

Once Patinkin left the show, I kind of lost interest. I know a lot of people my parents' age still enjoy the show to this day. "I think in honoring the series and saying goodbye, it's probably going to feel like a little bit of a eulogy".
