Days of Fortnite is coming back next week

First, let's talk about the free item.

It's likely the challenges will be available on Tuesday or Wednesday which means Epic will be giving players a week or more to complete the rest of the challenges.

According to popular streamer and Fortnite caster Jack "CouRage" Dunlop, the pro players' and content creators' frustrations dwell from the fact that many of these new items make the game easier for the lesser skilled players.

"Players who were unable to complete those Challenges will be able to earn all of the rewards they may have initially missed out on".

Epic decided a couple of days ago that, because it had incorrectly listed the end date for the 14 Days of Fortnite event on social media channels, it would give the Equalizer Glider reward to everyone who had completed at least one of the challenges during the event.

"We communicated an incorrect end date for the 14 Days of Fortnite event and did not feel the Equalizer Glider compensation was the right approach".

On the last day of the event, the final challenge rewarded players with a sweet Equalizer glider.

The upcoming challenge will begin on January 15 at 3 AM ET (8:00 AM UTC) and extend two weeks. We were also awarded a pickaxe, but the rest of the rewards were mostly festive emotes that were less than spectacular. That turned out not to be the case, much to the chagrin of players who were counting on that extra time to knock out the challenges. Whether you're a fan of the battle royale game or not, you've got to admit - they've continuously proven they are about their players. You can get a look at it in action here.

Epic reveals the challenges day by day, and it's unclear if the new event will be the same as before.
