DeMarcus Cousins to return to Warriors within next two weeks

An Achilles injury will only highlight this flaw and other teams will look to expose the Warriors through Cousins by forcing a switch.

The center stunned the National Basketball Association in the summer when he chose the star-studded Warriors as the team he would rehab with, signing a one-year, $5.3 million deal.

28-year-old Cousins, a highly skilled post player who can space the floor with his outside shooting, will be a much-welcome addition to the Warriors' All-Star-studded roster.

According to Stein, the Warriors are hoping Cousins returns on the team's upcoming trip to Los Angeles on January 18 and 21, when the Warriors are slated to play the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers, respectively.

That trip would be the days after the Warriors face the Clippers on January 18 at Staples Center and then play the Lakers on January 21 at the same venue. "I just love the style of play that they play with, and so I heavily considered that and I asked them if they would like me there, and they said 'Yeah'". In exchanging their bench depth for Cousins, the Warriors have upgraded their starters to an unparalleled level.

"It's exciting", Warriors All-Star swingman Klay Thompson said. The NBA is excited.

Cousins also added that Kerr "was looking for a certain thing on the coach's side of things", but didn't reveal what that was. Especially on the block, he's such a handful down there, his ability to play make. "The conditioning has got over a barrier".

"He's been great in the rehab process". To just come in every day and not see an endpoint, but just trying to work to get healthy.
