The Best Actor for comedy/musical went to Christian Bale for his role in Vice. It was a victorious night too for Green Book that claimed three Globes - Best Screenplay, Best Picture - Musical or Comedy and Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali.

The Golden Globes, organized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, are the first major showbusiness awards in the countdown to the Oscars in February.

King is up for the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, as are the producers of Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, Crazy Rich Asians, The Favourite, Green Book, A Quiet Place, Roma, A Star Is Born and Vice.

To much surprise, A Star is Born only took home one award of its five nominations on Sunday night, with many saying it was snubbed. Because I see you ... all these faces of change.

Apart from the biopic, Green Book was the other big victor at the 76th Golden Globes.

Comedian Carol Burnett was presented with the first-ever Golden Globe recognising a lifetime career in television, which was named after her - The Carol Burnett award.

British actress Olivia Colman was a victor for bawdy historical romp "The Favourite".

Gaga was also nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture (Drama) for her role as Ally Maine in "A Star Is Born", with the film also being nominated for Best Motion Picture (Drama).
