The Accidental Prime Minister Day 1 in overseas

The Accidental Prime Minister is an upcoming 2019 Indian biographical film directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari, based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by former PM Manmohan Singh's mediaq advisor Sanjaya Baru.

The veteran actor had been defending the content of his film after many people criticised it for hitting the theatres before Lok Sabha elections. The court had admitted the case and fixed 8 January to hear the case in the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate court.

A petition filed in Delhi High Court seeking a ban on the movie's trailer is due for a hearing on Wednesday.

In the appeal filed in the top court, petitioner Pooja Mahajan has sought stay on exhibition of trailer of the film on YouTube and to suspend the release and exhibition of the movie during pendency of the matter. Praising his acting skills, Anupam's mother also said she could not believe it's her son and exclaimed, "What do you eat, I don't understand!" This is a movie which talks about modern Indian politics, made with fantastic amount of brilliance by the directors and the producers and the cast is phenomenal.

It claimed that it "seems that film makers, producers have made an attempt to make commercial gains and the act of impersonation has been committed deliberately to defame the office of Prime Minister just to hype the excitement among the prospective viewers". Other releases like Viswasam and Petta are not going to affect this movie but Vicky Kaushal's Uri which is also becoming popular by its thrilling trailer can affect the box office collection of the movie. "Dr. Manmohan Singh is not a very expressive person".
