Bebe Rexha Addresses Size Discrimination at Grammys Following Viral Video

In the original video posted to her Instagram account back in January, Bebe revealed that she was struggling to find something to wear for the awards show because she was considered "too big".

The 29-year-old singer took to the 61st Annual Grammy Awards red carpet Sunday wearing a plunging dress with tulle. "I just want to wear people and work with people who love me for me".

The best part, though, was when she had another message for every designer that refused to dress her. "I just did the [Instagram] video because I was really heartbroken and it bummed me out because they said I was too big or fat", she told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet. When asked if any who originally turned her down changed their minds, Rexha responded, "I would say yes".

Fans and fellow celebrities applauded Bebe Rexha for calling out designers who made it seem as though women who are not a size 0 aren't considered lovely. "Joking with Variety, Rexha shared the perks of rocking a big dress: "[It's] puffy so I can eat whatever I want". "I really didn't expect that, so my size 8 a- is here on the red carpet". "You're saying that all the women in the world that are size 8 and up are not attractive, and they can not wear your dresses". "He won Vogue Arabia's No. 1 designer and he worked with my body and I feel unbelievable".

"So, I finally get nominated at the Grammys and it's, like, the coolest thing ever. I had my team hit out a lot of designers, and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I'm 'too big.' Literally, I'm 'too big'".

"I was like, 'This is fantastic, '" she shared. I just want other girls to love their bodies.
