China About to Celebrate Year of the Pig With Peppa Pig Movie

According to the Chinese calendar, the New Year begins on February 5 2019 under the sign of the Earth Pig.

"They're said to be happy, to be honest, sincere and courageous people who are born in the year of the pig", Sydney lord mayor Clover Moore said.

"Chinese are the third-largest foreign-born group in the United States; as of 2017, there are 6 million of us and Dealmoon gets 17.6 million clicks a month from these consumers", said Cofounder of Dealmoon, Jennifer Wang.

The Chinese New Year celebration was entertained by a singing group from the Chinese community, and a Tongan traditional dancing group, and attended by members of the Chinese community, government officials and friends of the Embassy. Exclusive Chinese New Year merchandise also will be available, including the first Panda Twin toys.

The video tells the story of an elderly man who seeks a Chinese New Year gift for his grandson and in order to do so, needs to find out what "Peppa" is. This year marks the Year of the Pig on the Chinese zodiac.
