Donald Trump Shares 'Everybody Hurts' Meme Mocking Democrats on Twitter

"@jack you need to get on this", the musician wrote, referencing Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

The satirical clip, showing top Dems' sour reactions to President Trump's State of the Union address, racked up thousands of views after Trump retweeted it.

He later shared a link to a tweet reporting the video's removal, quipping "winning", in reference to President Trump's campaign refrain. "You can't be gone soon enough". Twitter replaced the video with the message "This video has been removed in response to a report from the copyright holder".

R.E.M. wants President Donald Trump's hands off their music, thank you very much.

People who have made it their mission to troll the United States president on Twitter absolutely hated it - as did former R.E.M. member Mike Mills, who used rather salty language to demand Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey do something.

R.E.M. have seemingly done the impossible - they silenced Donald Trump's Twitter feed.

The band then posted a statement to their Facebook group, asking candidates to "cease and desist", and Mills further discussed his thoughts on Twitter, calling Trump an attention-seeking "Orange Clown".

While the country waits for R.E.M.to potentially lose their shit over Trump once again associating himself with their music despite being asked not to, let us find comfort in that scene from The Office where Dwight cries in his vehicle to "Everybody Hurts".

While artists such as Neil Young, Prince, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, and Adele have all criticised the President, it seems that in most cases, they've been unlucky in their endeavours to halt his unauthorised musical use. And today, Mills also spends a great deal of time tweeting negatively about Trump, so he's clearly not a fan.
