New trailer revealed for Killing Eve season two

However, could this snippet have revealed Eve's fate as Villanelle sets out to get revenge on the MI5 agent for trying to kill her in the first season?

Picking up right after the shocking season one finale, the trailer shows the mutual obsession between Eve (Sandra Oh) and Villainelle (Jodie Comer) running even deeper, with a heaping of dark humour and violence along the way.

In it, M16 agent Eve (Sandra Oh) and global assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer) continue to toy with our hearts with their cat-and-mouse chase.

The wait is nearly over: "Killing Eve" is coming back on April 7, and the latest trailer looks like it's going to be better than the first season. It has attracted a large LGBT+ fanbase. How about the weird and wonderful moment when Villanelle meets her handler, or *that* death on the disco floor?

Dressed in a gown and with a lollipop in her mouth, the assassin falls to the ground but is seen menacingly walking in children's pyjamas before she is heard saying: "When you love someone, you do insane things".

The show's title is then shown with a release date of April 7 which is when the series will return for viewers to watch in the US. We see both women reeling from the aftermath of the season finale, which saw Eve and Villanelle in bed together, before Eve stabbed the assassin in the stomach.

First up, props to whoever picked "Addicted To Love" as the trailer's accompanying song. Season 1 launched in the United Kingdom in September past year, five months after its USA debut. Oh received an Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category for her role as Eve Polastri, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Drame Series.

In other news, a new face joins this season of Killing Eve: Emerald Fennell, best known as Nurse Patsy Mount from Call the Midwife, has signed on as executive producer and head writer.

It was widely praised by news outlets, including the Guardian, which declared it the best TV show of 2018.
