Rumor: Lady Gaga Stands Up For Fellow Oscar-Nominated Musicians

And - gasp - not having all the Oscar-nominated musicians perform during the ceremony.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences confirmed the news with a simple tweet Friday, reported Variety.

Gaga and Cooper recently gave fans a preview of their upcoming Oscars 2019 performance at the singer's show in Las Vegas over the weekend.

LOS ANGELES-Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper will perform "Shallow" at the Oscars.

They did an about-face on the last one, apparently thanks to Lady Gaga, who is nominated for Best Actress and Best Original Song. @IAMJHUD will perform the nominated song "I'll Fight" on the #Oscars! 2.

We might be hearing only 90-second versions of the songs, which means that Best Original Song performances will run less than 8 minutes, total.

In another tweet, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings were also confirmed to sing "When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings" from ' The Ballad of Buster Scruggs'. There's still no word yet on whether or not the duo will perform the song but considering every other nominee will be, it should only be a matter of time before the Academy announces the news.

The Academy has confirmed that the pair - who star as lovers Ally and Jackson Maine in the movie - will sing the Oscar-nominated song at the ceremony on February 24.
