Lisa Page Admitted Obama DOJ Ordered Stand-Down on Hillary Prosecution

"I am aware of senior Federal Bureau of Investigation officials talking to subordinate Federal Bureau of Investigation officials on the Hillary Clinton investigative team who unquestionably had anti-Hillary sentiment, but who also said: 'You have to get her, or - again I don't have an exact quote - but like we're counting on you, you know, '" Page testified.

Page explained that since she and Strzok were both involved with the counterintelligence investigation of possible Russian collusion during the 2016 election, the "insurance policy" was a reference to how the investigation would magnify if Trump became president.

Lisa Page, via social media. "No he won't. We'll stop it".

FBI officials, including then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, debated internally how vigorously to follow up on that information given that Democrat Hillary Clinton was seen at the time as likely to defeat Trump, and an aggressive investigation had the potential of endangering the source. President Trump fired Comey in 2017.

"I can tell you that in no way would that extramarital affair have any power in coercing me to do anything other than obeying the law and doing honest, competent investigation", Strzok said. But his comments in the transcript of the closed-door interview are the most thorough to date explaining a text Strzok sent Page saying they could not take the "risk" of Trump getting elected.

Earlier in the transcript, Page confirms sending a text to Strzok related to their roles in investigating then-candidate Trump in August 2016, where she told Strzok, "Maybe you're meant to stay where you are because you're meant to protect the country from that menace". He said under oath the FBI investigative team unanimously believed Clinton shouldn't be prosecuted.

"The just revealed FBI Agent Lisa Page transcripts make the Obama Justice Department look exactly like it was, a broken and corrupt machine", Trump tweeted.

Hillary Clinton was not a target, witness, subject or suspect during the investigation into her storage and sending of classified emails on her home server, fired FBI Agent Peter Strzok told Congress past year, according to transcripts released Thursday.

"She claimed that former FBI Director James Comey proposed the gross negligence charge to the DOJ multiple times as he received their advice, and at one point in Page's hearing, Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX) asked her if the Department was essentially telling the FBI "'You're not going to charge gross negligence because we're the prosecutors and we're telling you we're not going to'".
