Virginia woman wins lottery 30 times in one day

According to a Pick 4 lottery spokesman in a statement to The New York Times, Brown's success is all the more shocking considering how the odds of winning the Pick 4 lottery are reportedly about 1 in 10,000.

Some people have all the luck, the saying goes.

Deborah Brown initially bought 20 tickets for $1 each.

Brown later bought ten more tickets with the same numbers at the same location.

On Feb. 11, Brown watched the late-night Pick 4 drawing, and was taken aback when her numbers hit.

"A couple of times during the day, I saw those numbers", the Richmond resident told the Virginia Lottery.

The top prize for the $1 (77p) game is $5,000, with the chances of matching all four numbers in the correct order standing at 1 to 10,000.

"I almost had a heart attack", Brown said to Virginia Lottery.

In fact, each of those 30 tickets was a victor, securing Brown $5,000 for each for a total of $150,000 in winnings. She recently picked her check for $150,000. Brown said she might renovate her home but doesn't have any set plans on what she'll do with her winnings.

A Virginia woman found herself with a six-figure payout after playing the same four number sequence on 30 different lottery tickets.
