The performance followed their first song of the night, "Boy With Luv".

South Korean music phenomenon BTS have broken a brand new YouTube viewing record, just one week after the previous record was set.

K-pop band BTS has done it again: smashing the YouTube record Blackpink broke only last week. The "Buy with Luv" video is now also the fastest YouTube video to garner 100 million views, another feat achieved in just under 38 hours (1 day and 14 hours).

Even more awesome is the fact that BTS not only broke the previous record of 56.7 million views, set by Blackpink's "Kill This Love" just last week, but that they smashed it by nearly 22 million views.

Later today they will also be the first ever K-pop band to perform on popular U.S. show Saturday Night Live.

The K-pop group's performance was highly anticipated, with passionate fans - coined "The Army" - reportedly camped out in front of the studio days in advance in hopes of meeting them. The group will also perform the song with Halsey at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, where they are nominated in the categories for Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist.
