Flight attendant spills whole tray of drinks on airline CEO

"Guys I have worked for American Airlines for 4 years, and not once have I ever spilt a drink on a passenger", Peters shared on Instagram.

But that got even worse after she realized who the passenger was - the CEO of American Airlines.

Maddie Peters was serving the first-class cabin on a recent to flight from Phoenix to Dallas, which included American Airlines boss William "Doug" Parker.

Unfortunately for the flight attendant, as she was carrying a tray of beverages up the aisle, a passenger in front of her backed up and "the drinks [went] flying".

A flight attendant in the United States saw her entire career flash by after she accidentally spilt a whole tray of drinks on the airline's chief executive. She says half of the drinks spilled on her, while the rest doused Parker.

'I WAS MORTIFIED. I wanted to drop dead right there in the aisle, ' she wrote.

She states Parker was a good game, while deplaning told Peters that he'd never forget her and laughed off it.

She said that she dropped the tray and the drinks splashed on Parker and on herself.

Luckily both Peters and Parker see the amusing side, with Peters admitting that most people never meet their CEO - let alone shower them with drinks.

The flight took off at 8:40 p.m., but was back at JFK by 9:09 p.m. and taxied to the gate, American Airlines said in a statement. "But it's too good of a story not to tell", she quipped in conclusion to her post. "Guess that's a good thing right?"
