Nepal Summit Air crash accident kills two, injures five

"Two people died on the spot and the third one died while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Kathmandu", airport official Pratap Babu Tiwari told Reuters.

Among the dead were the plane's co-pilot and two police officers who were near the parked helicopter, said Nepal police spokesman Uttam Raj Subedi.

Air crashes are common in mostly mountainous Nepal, home to eight of the world's 14 highest mountain peaks, including Mount Everest. Earlier this year, on February 27th, another incident of a privately owned helicopter of Air Dynasty crashed into a hillside and reported seven fatalities including the country's Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister- Rabindra Adhikari, Deputy Director and Director General of CAAN and the Sub-Secretary of the Government of Nepal among others.
