Redmi Y3 India launch confirmed: Comes with massive 32 MP selfie cam

Redmi Y3 India launch confirmed: Comes with massive 32 MP selfie cam

This, along with the fact that companies like ASUS, Realme, and Motorola also started releasing competitively priced devices that matched and even exceeded the value for money quotient that used to be Xiaomi's forte made several people question Xiaomi's future in the country. And it seems the company is hungry for more.

Keeping in mind Xiaomi's trend to launch good selfie camera mobile phones under its Y series of smartphones, this post could be hinting at the Y3 smartphone. The smartphone is most likely to come with a dual camera setup, similar to the Redmi Note 7.

Although the previous render showcasing a pop-up camera is reportedly fake, it seems to have gotten one particular design detail right, namely the full-screen design.

It is expected that the device having 32 MP front-facing camera sensor could be Redmi Y3, the successor of the Redmi Y2 launched a year ago.

Celebrating this special occasion, Raghu Reddy, Head of Category and Online Sales, Xiaomi India said, "We are delighted to be sharing yet another wonderful milestone achieved by our popular Redmi Note series of smartphones".

In the recent few months, we have seen quite a lot of smartphones launch with a 32MP selfie camera like Huawei P30, Huawei P30 Lite, Huawei P30 Pro and Vivo V15 Pro.

In addition to this, Weibing also asked his followers to submit feedback regarding a smartphone with a 32-megapixel front camera. The 32-megapixel Samsung GD1 sensor is equipped with real-time HDR mode.

Recently, the Redmi Y3 was also spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance portal running Android Pie-based MIUI 10.

As of now, there is no information on the actual specs sheet of the Xiaomi Redmi Y3.
