Sophie Turner Emotionally Credits Joe Jonas for Helping Her Deal With Depression

Joe Jonas dressed as fiancee Sophie Turner's Game Of Thrones character Sansa Stark ahead of the show's highly-anticipated season eight premiere. As a result she went through puberty before viewers eyes and as a result was thrown into a deep depression over cyber bullying.

"I don't know why though maybe it was a weird fascination I used to have, yeah I used to think about it but I don't think I would have ever gone through with it". However, the rise in popularity came at a price says the 23-year-old. I would say, "Yeah, I am spotty". I am fat. I am a bad actress.' I would just believe it. I would get (the costume department) to tighten my corset a lot.

"One of the first things that I think struck me about him is we were on a date, and it was time to leave...we were with a bunch of friends and I had a meeting", she explained.

"There's been a few things, but I think the biggest challenge - and I've had it for the longest out of all my mental health problems - is my depression", Turner said.

Although Sophie said it wasn't the only thing that contributed to her state of mind, Miss Turner shared: "You see ten great comments and you ignore them".

Elsewhere, Sophie told Dr Phil that she first began having mental health issues when she was 17, explaining that living at her parent's home while she worked and her friends and brothers were away at university was a triggering factor. "Learning to love yourself is the biggest challenge".

A lot of Turner's Game of Thrones co-stars are expected to be at her wedding this summer, but it sounds like one special cast member will be standing by her side.

"I [sometimes] don't think I love myself at all, but I'm now with someone that makes me realize I do have some redeeming qualities, I suppose", she says.

Tuner said she's actually in the middle of taking a break from acting.

Sophie adds, "I just would cry and cry and cry over just getting changed and putting on clothes and be like, 'I can't do this". "I took a break off of work to focus on my mental health, because I thought it was important".

"I had no motivation to do anything or go out".
