Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria impress in SOTY 2’s trailer

Stars of the original Student of the Year - Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra - have reacted to the trailer of Student of the Year 2, which features actors Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday. They spoke about their experiences of working on the film and competing against the prequel's cast. Produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under Dharma Productions banner, the film will be distributed by Fox Star Studios and is slated to release in nearly a month from now, on May 10 this year. Actor Tiger Shroff, who has danced away to glory and performed stunts galore in the trailer of Student Of The Year 2 (SOTY 2), says he wants to steer clear of comparisons between his movie and its predecessor. "Though I did not know that it was his favourite", Tiger said.

Tara Sutaria said, "I don't think competition is going to be unhealthy. I would like to sing with her". The three-minute trailer ends with a rendition of Kishore Kumar's hit song Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani from Jawani Diwani (1972).

Student of the Year 2 (2019). "It was always my thing that we wanted one song in the movie to be retro". A story remains the same at the core of it, as Tiger fights on to become the student of the year, while he also deals with two girls falling for him at the same time.

"There is no such school that exists in real life for sure because what we are seeing on-screen is quite larger than life". There will be healthy competition and I am very excited about this.
