Today Apple started to roll out their new Apple TV app that was announced in March to all Apple TV owners.

The app gives users access to all their iTunes content as well as Apple's upcoming TV+ subscription service. Apple has been working with some of the biggest TV manufacturers to expand the footprint of its new TV app.

But more importantly, users will now be able to watch and download their shows and movies both online and offline, allowing them to watch their favourite programs anywhere and at any time. The latest update to its mobile operating system features a redesigned TV app, with the ability to subscribe to channels directly in the app.

The upgraded Apple TV app also provides personalized recommendations of TV shows and movies from the third-party video streaming services, as well as more than 100,000 iTunes movies and TV shows. AirPlay 2 will enable users to play media content from their iPhone, iPad or Mac directly to their Samsung Smart TV.

iOS 12.3 also adds support for AirPlay 2-enabled TVs, so those without Apple TV boxes can share content, including videos, photos and music from their iOS devices.
