Google Releases Android Security Patch for May 2019, Includes 30 Security Fixes

Google shook the gaming world earlier this year with the launch of its new Stadia console which will allow gamers to play the latest titles. This means both the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will be slightly more affordable than the Pixel 3 and Pixel XL, both in the United States and India.

According to an apparent marketing poster of the Pixel 3a XL, which was spotted by Slashleaks, the 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant of the Pixel 3a XL will be priced at Rs 44,999. Expectedly, though not mentioned on the leaked sheet, the Pixel 3a will boot Google'sAndroid 9 out of the box, while it will get a 64GB storage space.

There are expected updates for Android TV platform with more supported apps for the platform and more inter-connectivity with Google Assistant.

This year is particularly notable because we are expecting some hardware announcement from Google along with software development. Now, detailed specifications and features of Google's upcoming mid-range Pixel have allegedly surfaced online, alongside high-quality renders of the Pixel 3a in its white and black avatars. Google hasn't said what it will unveil, but that hasn't stopped the rumors. Google is trying to speed things up as it wants to give developers ample time to play with the new features.

With the Google I/O conference just around the corner, the tech industry pundit and geeks are looking forward to what the big "Alphabet" of Silicon Valley has to offer to the community worldwide. It seems that Google itself will be playing on that characteristic by marketing the Pixel 3a as providing everything people love about Google "in a phone".

Last month 9to5Google issued a report, citing a "reliable source" familiar with Google's plans, claiming the firm aims to rebrand its Google Home Hub to the Google Nest Hub.

You can also watch the live stream on the Google I/O page. However, Google is looking to change that with Android Automotive OS, which is a full-fledged Android-based OS which will be installed on your car's infotainment system. It's much different from the Android Auto we know, so we can expect to learn more about it at I/O 2019.

The first non-premium smartphone model to launch in the Pixel range is expected to cost around £749 - the price of the iPhone XR - or slightly less, like the Galaxy S10e, which is a similar almost-flagship proposition for the Galaxy S smartphone range.

New smartphones, a new operating system, and a new foray into gaming will likely be the focus at Google's I/O developer conference, a three-day event for app developers and hardware makers that starts Tuesday.
