A driver in Tucson, Arizona, "miraculously" managed to walk away with just minor injuries after a cactus crashed through his car's windshield.

The man was driving a auto which crossed the median and hit a giant saguaro cactus on Wednesday, according to Pima County Sheriff's Department.

Scott was charged with a DUI and criminal damage.

Deputies responded around 9:30 a.m.to a single vehicle collision involving a cactus, said Daniel Jelineo, a spokesperson for the department. They also say he was taken to the hospital with minor scrapes and bruises, but the auto took severe damage.

The driver was reportedly detained after showing signs of impairment, the Arizona Daily Star reported.

According to Crystal Kasnoff, the NWFD public information officer, the driver got into an accident and crossed the median, where he ran into the cactus.
