After contacting her landlord to gain access to her apartment, her parents found her body inside of a suitcase with her throat slit.

Russian police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a 24-year-old Instagram influencer found dead in a suitcase in her Moscow apartment.

Ekaterina Karaglanova, an Instagram star known for her fashion and travel posts, is dead at the age of 24. The 24-year-old was also reportedly wearing only lace garters and had stab wounds on her cheek and chest areas.

Her profile says that she was studying dermatovenerology and was a resident at a Moscow medical school. "These 6 years have not been for us an easy walk, but a real race for survival with obstacles".

She was planning to celebrate her 25th birthday with a boyfriend in the Netherlands, according to Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.

According to police reports, there was no sign that Karaglanova struggled before her death and no weapon was found at the crime scene.

In her final post on July 22, she wrote about how she did not like to spend more than three to five days at a place while she likes to travel "often".

In a cryptic post from March, she wrote about her plans to redecorate her flat and "another important activity I'm thinking about, which I'm not going to take about for now". Her last Instagram photo shows her lounging poolside in Corfu, Greece, detailing her love for traveling.

The 24-year-old's parents grew concerned following a lack of contact from their daughter for several days, raising the alarm to their local police.

The 24-year-old's ex-boyfriend was seen on surveillance video arriving at the apartment and then leaving several hours later a few days before family noticed she was missing, the BBC reported.
