Updated: Firefighters continue to tackle a major fire at Warner Bros.

"Fifteen fire engines, plus support vehicles, are now in attendance at the scene and crews are tackling a fire in one of the stages there".

About 75 fire fighters from 18 crews are tackling the fire which first broke out at about 11.30pm last night.

A spokeswoman later stated: "The hearth at Warner Bros Studios is now out however a number of automobiles stay on web site".

"Three jets and one aerial ladder platform are in use", they said, adding that the set was not being used at the time and there are no injuries. Warner Bros. said the tours were not affected and were going ahead as normal.

All the Harry Potter movies were filmed at the studios, which are used to shoot movies, TV shows, music videos and adverts.

Back in January, a man was rushed to hospital after allegedly being stabbed in the throat at the Warner Bros. complex in Leavesden, which is just outside London.

The fire began in one of the stages at Leavesden, Hertfordshire, late on Wednesday night.

Nearby resident Mark Hancock told BBC News: "My house is only about 200m away from the perimeter fence and we have a clear line of sight over gardens so we managed to see it out one of our windows".

Studies within the Watford Observer described individuals close by being woke up to "very robust odor of smoke".
