Alex Rodriguez’s Car Reportedly Robbed During Sunday Night Baseball

Alex Rodriguez is in his second year with ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball".

One day after it was revealed that Jessica Mendoza missed ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball telecast because she had been involved in a vehicle accident in California, Alex Rodriguez had $500K worth of goods swiped from his rental auto, according to a report in the New York Post and San Francisco Chronicle.

The vehicle, which was rented by ESPN for some of the production crew covering the Phillies-Giants game on Sunday Night Baseball, was broken into while the group was having dinner after the game.

"I am saddened that several items that were of a personal nature and irreplaceable with sentimental value were taken", Rodriguez told The Post in a statement issued through ESPN.

The case is now a high priority investigation according to The Chronicle, and takes place during a time when auto break ins are an epidemic throughout San Francisco. A person told NBC Bay Area that the items stolen included watches, jewelry, a laptop and a camera. Police have reportedly responded by putting more officers on foot patrols, and rates have begun to drop since 2017.

About 200 of Lopez and Rodriguez's closest friends were treated to a caviar bar and buffet at JLo's party, which happened at Gloria and Emilio Estefan's Miami estate on Star Island, sources told The Post at the time.

A-Rod celebrated his 44th birthday at his Miami home in late July - days after he gifted JLo a red Porsche at her extravagant 50th birthday bash in the city.
