CNN's Chris Cuomo caught on camera threatening man who called him 'Fredo'

The as of yet unidentified man in the video, which was originally uploaded to a rightwing YouTube channel and shared widely by Trump-supporting personalities on Twitter, appears to be deliberately antagonizing the news anchor in order to provoke a reaction, an outcome he certainly accomplished. Fellow radio host Mark Levin often refers to Cuomo as "the dumbest of the Cuomos".

He then claimed the use of "Fredo" is "like the N-word for us". Scaramucci tweeted that he's "very proud" of Cuomo, adding that he has been called "Fredo" as well.

President Trump on Tuesday suggested a "red flag" for Chris Cuomo - putting him on a list of people not allowed to own guns - after the CNN host was shown confronting a stranger in a profanity-laced viral video.

"The use of the word Fredo as an ethnic a regionalism", said Mr Tamburri, who is a third-generation Italian American. It's a f*cking insult to your people. "It's like the N-word for us". "Is that a cool f-- thing?"

Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, James Caan and John Cazale in The Godfather. Cuomo said in the massively viral video. "If you want to play then we'll f***ing play", he says.

The exchange highlighted in the tweet promoted by Trump involved Cuomo saying, "You're going to have a problem".

"Don't f-ing insult me like that", he continues.

"No, punk ass bitches from the Right call me Fredo".

"I'll f*ckin ruin your shit".

Cuomo, responding with multiple expletives, said he'd "throw you down these stairs" lika a "punk".

As Human Events' Will Chamberlain points out via Twitter, "Fredo is the name of fictional misfit brother The N-word symbolized the immiseration of an entire race of people for over 200 years @ChrisCuomo is a fabulously wealthy white male TV anchor". "If I was black and somebody called me the N-word, I would flip out". Italian Records on 18th Avenue said that any insult meant by the "Godfather" reference was tied to Fredo being a turncoat. "Equivocating the two is pure racism".

CNN says it completely supports Chris Cuomo.

"Does CNN's head of PR still think "Fredo" is an ethnic slur after watching this?"

"If anything, this is my fault, and I'll be glad to take the blame", he said. A spokesperson says he was just defending himself during an "orchestrated set up".

'When a Conservative does even a fraction of what Chris Cuomo did with his lunatic ranting, raving, & cursing, they get destroyed by the Fake News...'

"He's out with his 9-year-old daughter and his wife, and this guy is being a jack- in front of his family".

Trump Campaign Manager Brad Parscale was also quick to capitalize on the Fredo affair, promoting a T-shirt of the agitated Cuomo. "He deserves the apology", Hannity tweeted.
